Case Studies – Executive Summaries

Case History No.1

The Issue:

An internationally-famous London hotel needed to replace their current legacy HR/Payroll system with a modern application that would meet all their current and projected needs. The budget allocated for this was in the region of £100,000.

Our Solution:

We investigated the business processes and prepared a high-level report (3 days). Working with the client, we honed a long-list down to a short-list, and then assisted the client throughout the selection demonstrations.

Outcome:

The client selected one of the recommended applications, and saved an estimated £40,000 on the budgeted figure on the way through.

Case History No. 2

The Issue:

A rapidly-growing educational business decided that a conventional HR Manager arrangement was not for them, and looked for a solution that would deliver value and assist their need for improvement and development.

Our Solution:

Our consultants ensured that all the infrastructure of contracts, handbooks and policies was in place, and then moved on to advise on internal communication, personal development for the management team, and organisational effectiveness. On the way through, we assisted in tackling some of the inevitable problems that arise where organisations are changing rapidly.

Outcome:

The management team performed  more effectively, and brought about improvements in their own areas. The organisation latterly successfully expanded the number of its locations.

Case History No.3

The Issue:

A media company having been purchased from a larger group by venture capital needed to install its own HR & Payroll system when its “umbilical” cord was cut with the original parent group. The date that had been held on the old group’s systems was either hopelessly out of date or completely inaccurate.

Our Solution:

After guiding the Company through the selection process, solutions were chosen from the recommended shortlists. We were then engaged to programme manage the implementation, from data cleansing, installation of the software, testing and acceptance.

Outcome:

The whole project was achieved within the timeline allowed by the company resources, and also comfortably within the prescribed budget.
